How a coin mines

Monero never stops paying miners.

Since May 2022 every Monero block pays a fixed 0.6 XMR, with no end date. That tail emission is why a coin's rig can keep earning after its trading goes quiet.

  1. 01

    Fees fund a rig

0.15% of every trade rents RandomX hashrate, pointed at P2Pool under Ember's Monero address.

  2. 02

    The rig mines XMR

Mined XMR is credited to each coin by the share of hashrate it paid for, in the open.

  3. 03

    Holders get paid

Every 15 minutes, once a coin's pool reaches $5, holders can claim it as wXMR.

  4. 04

    Graduation makes it permanent

After graduation, the coin's locked-LP fees keep its rig running while the pool trades.

Good to know: a small rig mines small amounts. Mining is how fees become XMR, and payouts can be small or zero. Mining economics

$EMBER

Every trade burns a little.

0.10% of every Ember coin trade buys $EMBER and burns it. The terminal's 1% fee on other tokens rents Monero mining, and everything that mines buys and burns $EMBER too. Every burn is logged with its signature.
